Syrian-Belarusian talks to enhance educational cooperation

Minsk (ST): The Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Evans discussed with the Ambassador of Syria in Minsk Muhammad Al-Omrani ways to enhance educational and health cooperation between the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, the Belarusian Minister of Education referred to the long-term friendly relations between Syria and Belarus, stressing his country’s intention to strengthen bilateral relations and raise them to a higher level in various fields.
Evans presented the capabilities that Belarus possesses in the educational and health fields, stressing the continuation of its humanitarian initiative to receive Syrian children, sons and daughters of martyrs, in recreational and health camps, embodying the solid relations and strengthening the cultural and civilized exchange between the two friendly countries.
Minister Evans pointed out that the pressures and challenges facing both countries in these difficult times requires them to take common positions, explaining that he will visit Syria soon in response to the invitation addressed to him to discuss cooperation in the educational and health fields.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Omrani stressed the strength of relations between the two countries despite the challenges they face from pressures, economic sanctions and attempts of external interference in their internal affairs, affirming Syria’s desire to activate cooperation with Belarus in various fields for the benefit of the two friendly countries and peoples.
