Syrian basketball team to face Emirati and Bahraini teams within 3rd round of the Asian Cup qualifiers

The Syrian men’s basketball team continues its preparations to face the Emirati and Bahraini teams on Friday and Monday in the Qatari capital, Doha, within the 3rd round of the Asian qualifiers.

The Syrian team has conducted intensive training in a camp currently held in Qatar, with the aim of enhancing technical and physical readiness. It also played two friendly matches with Al-Rayyan of Qatar, winning 76-74 points, and Al-Gharafa of Qatar and winning 86-63 points.

The Syrian team has ranked third with five points in its group in the qualifiers before the next round, while the Bahraini team has ranked second with 6 points and Lebanon has ranked first with 8 points.

The first and second place winners of the six groups at the end of the qualifiers will qualify for the Asian finals, while the third place winners will play a play-off consisting of six teams, four of which will qualify for the finals.
