Syrian-Bahraini talks on enhancing financial and banking cooperation

Finance Minister Mohammed Abazeed discussed with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Damascus, Wahid Mubarak Al-Sayyar, means to enhance and develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the financial and banking sectors.

Minister Abazeed stressed the importance of strengthening Syrian-Bahraini relations in all fields, especially financial ones, and benefiting from Bahrain’s experience in the banking sector, noting the Kingdom’s supportive stances towards the Syrian people.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Sayyar referred to his country’s previous efforts in training employees of Syrian public banks on the systems in force and followed in Bahraini private banks, and in helping establish the Financial and Banking Training Institute. He stressed readiness to continue training Syrian banking cadres.

The Bahraini Ambassador expressed his country’s keenness to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and fraternal relations with Syria, renewing his congratulations to the Syrian people on the victory of their revolution over the defunct regime.
