Syrian athlete Shadi Issa wins silver and bronze medals in 2022 African Open Para Powerlifting Championship

Syrian athlete Shadi Issa has won two medals, silver and bronze, in the 2022 African Open Para Powerlifting Championship currently held in the Egyptian Capital Cairo.

Issa gained the silver medal in powerlifting total, while he won the bronze medal after lifting 180 kg coming third after his Egyptian and Iraqi counterparts.

The Syrian team in this championship comprises coach Riad Al-Qasem, and athletes Shadi Issa, Noura Baddour, Fatima Al-Hasan and Rasha Al-Sheikh.
