Damascus, (ST) – Syrian fine artist Vivian Al- Sayegh‘s painting exhibition currently held at the Mishwar art gallery in Damascus depicts the impacts and repercussions of the terrorist war on Syria.
The exhibition, entitled “A Story of a Homeland”, displays a number of acrylic and oil paintings documenting the suffering of the Syrian people from terrorist war on their country.
In a statement to SANA, the artist said that she wanted to show the repercussions of wars on human beings in general and on childhood and motherhood in particular. However, she used bright colors to call for optimism and hope.
Syrian sculptor Ghazi Ana said that the exhibition is the product of a skillful and talented artist who managed to master the use of her various artistic tools. He indicated that in her paintings, Al-Sayegh reflected her impressions about what all categories of the Syrian people experienced during the war.
Mayada Klisli, head of the gallery, said that the event is al-Sayegh’s first solo exhibition.
Although she is still developing her experience, the artist has a deep sense and a transparent spirit embodied in her works that reflect the pains of people, mainly children, who are the main victims of wars, Klisli added.
