PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has warded off ISIS attack on water well outside Palmyra a day after foiling an attack launched by the same terror organization on two towns outside Sweida , according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency reported today that army units clashed with ISIS terrorists that were trying to attack –from several axes- the al-Hefneh water well near al-Sekhneh town, which lies about 40 km  north-east of Palmyra city.

The clashes resulted in the death of many terrorists and destruction of their vehicles and weapons, a military source said.

The same terrorist organization [ISIS or ISL or Daesh] tried yesterday to attack towns of Dalfa’a and Abo Harat in the northern countryside of Sweida, but army units foiled the attack and killed and injured scores of terrorists.

The two towns are located east of Khalkhala town, about 50 km north of Sweida city.
