Syrian army units kill ISIS terrorists in Hama countryside

HAMA, Oct.24, ( ST)- Units of the Syrian Arab Army that are operating in Hama countryside killed and injured members of a terrorist group, who were trying to set up an ambush on the main road east of Athreya in Hama.

“Through monitoring and following-up operations by our armed forces to the terrorist organizations movements and their continuous attempts to launch attacks on innocent civilians, a group of ISIS terrorists was spotted on Tuesday dawn where it was setting up an ambush on the main road east of Athreya. The army opened fire on the group, killing two terrorists and wounding others,’ Ministry of Defense said in a statement, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency ( SANA).

On the 17th of this month, army units confronted an attack launched by terrorist organizations with several drones in the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib and managed to shoot down and destroy 6 of them.
