Syrian Army Units Ensure Safe Exit to Families Fleeing Terrorists’ Atrocities in Douma and Zibdin of Eastern Ghouta
DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE, (ST)-Within their national task to protect citizens countrywide, the Syrian Arab Army units ensured the exit of tens of families from the city of Douma and the town of Zibdin in eastern al-Ghouta. These families, who fled the atrocities and crimes of the terrorist takfiri groups against them, were taken to Qadsayya temporary staying center.
Director of the national team Khaled Mar’ashli told SANA correspondent that 31 families, most of them children, women and elderly, arrived in Qadsayya center yesterday within the framework of national reconciliation initiatives. Several gunmen, who turned themselves in to competent authorities to have their legal status settled, were also among the people who left the two areas.
According Mar’ashli, the families arrived in bad health and psychological condition and in a state of panic because the terrorist groups have lied to them that they will be exposed to danger if they get out, but the families were surprised when they received good treatment by the government which provided them with all their needs.
He pointed out that in addition to the new 31 families, the Qadsayya Temporary Staying Center received 300 families during the past two months coming from different areas in Damascus countryside.
