Syrian Army thwarts car bomb attack near al-Teh and Jarjanaz towns in Idleb countryside

IDLEB, (ST)- Syrian army units on Saturday thwarted a terrorist car bomb attack at Jarjanaz-al-Teh axis and clashed with the terrorists, inflicting heavy losses upon them.

According to SANA reporter, the army units detonated two booby-trapped vehicles near the towns of al-Teh and Jarjanaz sent by terrorist organizations to penetrate the line of engagement. The army foiled the attack, eliminated several terrorists and destroyed their weapons and chased the rest of the terrorists who fled towards their positions in Ma’aret al-Nu’man city.

On December 24, the Army General Command announced that the army units liberated an area of over 320 square km and reestablished control over more than 40 villages and towns in the southern countryside of Idleb after driving out the terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and other groups from the area.

Terrorist groups affiliated to the takfiri blacklisted Jabhat al-Nusra continue to target the Syrian army points and peaceful towns from their positions in Idleb countryside. The Syrian army is pressing ahead with its operations to eliminate the terrorists in that area.
