Syrian army starts combing Jasim city in Daraa

DARAA, (ST)_The Syrian Army deployed on Thursday its troops into  Jasim city and surrounding villages in the northern countryside of Daraa after completing operations of settling the status of the wanted and military deserters in implementation of the settlement agreement proposed by the State.
 
According to the Syrian News Agency (SANA),the army units started Tthis morning combing and searching operations inside Jasim city and its vicinity to preserve the life of civilians, and to pave the way for the return of the state institutions to their work there.
 
In another development, scores of gunmen, the wanted and military deserters from Sanamayn city and the villages affiliated to it came to the settlement center that was opened on Thursday in Sanamayn city to settle their status, and hand over their weapons to the Syrian  army in implementation of the settlement agreement proposed by the State.
 
During the last weeks, the army units reinforced their positions in a number of cities, towns, and villages in the northwestern countryside of Daraa in Hawd al-Yarmouk  and the northern countryside hours after these areas have joined the settlement agreement proposed by the State last August.
