Syrian Army Secures Strategic Damascus-Homs Highway

DAMASCUS,(ST)-Army troops staged a daring operation against terrorists’ groupings in   al-Qalamoun region North of Damascus resulted in securing  the main North-South highway that runs through the area .

“the operation will definitely cut terrorists’ supply lines ,”a military source told a local media.

The army reopened the road Sunday after getting control of most of the town of Nabk that is located along the highway.

A local media quoted a military source as saying the units of the armed forces had killed  scores of terrorists in the town, and seized a large weapons cache.

Elsewhere, units of the armed forces launched mop-up operations against terrorists in Damascus Countryside ,Aleppo,Idlib,Daraa ,Homs and other areas.
