Syrian Army Secures Exit of Several Families from Terrorist-Held Town in Eastern Ghouta

DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE, (ST)- The Syrian Arab Army on Saturday secured the exit of several families from terrorist-held Mesraba town in Eastern Ghouta.

SANA reporter said that units of the Syrian army managed to secure the departure of tens of civilians, including women and children, who were held by armed terrorist groups as human shields inside a basement in Mesraba town of  in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside.

The liberated civilians were taken from Mesraba to a makeshift center and get their basic needs met.

 Members of the liberated families said they refused to leave Mesraba with members of the terrorist groups and stayed in the town awaiting the arrival of the Syrian Arab army to move them to a safe area.

The foreign-backed terrorist groups are still trying to prevent civilians from leaving Ghouta, using them as human shields and they keep targeting the safe corridors assigned for civilians’ exit in al-Wafedeen and Jisreen with shells and explosive bullets.

The terrorists  also shell residential neighborhoods in Damascus on a daily basis causing the martyrdom and wounding of civilians including women and children.
