Syrian Army’s Victory in Yabroud to Reflect Positively on Lebanon Security Situation: Lebanese Official

BEIRUT-The Victory of the Syrian Arab Army over terrorist groups in Yabroud has an important strategic dimension as it cuts off arms supply routes across the Lebanese-Syrian borders and it puts an end to the involvement of Lebanese parties in the Syrian crisis, stressed Elli Farzali, the former deputy Speaker of the Lebanese parliament.

In a statement to the Syrian TV on Monday, Farzali said “the victory will reflect positively on the security situation in Lebanon since it will curb the movement of car bombs between the two countries.”

The Lebanese official condemned the Israeli occupation blatant support for the armed terrorist groups either through medical treatment and providing training to terrorists or through launching aggression on Syrian-Lebanese bordering areas in order to prolong the crisis in the country.

On the situation in Lebanon, Farzali reiterated “no one is allowed to target the Lebanese resistance,” urging all Lebanese parties to launch constructive dialogue to produce a defensive strategy that considers Israel as a major enemy, calls for liberating the occupied lands and reject any Israeli attack on Lebanon.
