Syrian army retakes town in Daraa, repels ISIS terrorists’ attack on area in Palmyra countryside

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has recaptured a town in Daraa province and has foiled ISIS terrorists’ attack on quarries area in Palmyra countryside, as military operations against terrorists organizations in the countrysides of Lattakia, Idlib and Hama have continued.

According to the official news agency (SANA), army units recaptured today al-Tabbeh town in al-Lajat area in Daraa countryside and killed many terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front in the town and in the al-Kark al-Sharqi area and Daraa al-Balad in the same province.

Further terrorists affiliated to the ISIS were eliminated in Tal al-Sahen area, about 40 km south-east of Sweida city, as a mortar emplacement and vehicles belonging to ISIS terrorists were destroyed in an operations carried out by an army unit in al-Qaser town in the northeastern countryside of sweida.

14 terrorists killed

Add to that, Syrian warplanes bombed terrorist organizations in Erbin town and Harasta suburb in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus and in the northern countryside of Hama as well as in Ariha and Jesr Esh Shugur areas in Idlib countryside and in al-Jneneh area in Der Ezzour province.

“As many as 14 terrorists were killed and 20 others wounded in air strikes on terrorist organizations in al-Sermaneyeh town in Hama countryside,” SANA said, adding that scores of ISIS terrorists were killed and injured in Der Ezzour province.

“Several terrorist hideouts plus 2 cars equipped with heavy machineguns were destroyed in al-Mahjas town in Abo Duhur area in the southeastern countryside of Idlib and on the outskirts of al-Qarqor town in Jesr Esh Shugur area,” a military source declared.

In the northern countryside of Lattakia, army units killed 8 terrorists, including 3 Libyans and a Tunisian, in Kansba area.

“The killed Tunisian terrorist, dubbed Abo Mos’ab al-Tunisi, was recruiting terrorists from Tunisia and training them in Syria,” a military source clarified.   

Moving towards the central region, army units, supported by warplanes, foiled ISIS terrorists’ attack on military posts in quarries area, about 10km north-west of Palmyra city and killed scores of terrorists there.
