Syrian army retakes areas from ISIS in Hasaka, kills 15 Saudi and Chechen terrorists outside Damascus

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has regained control over several areas in the southern countryside of Hasaka and has killed 15 Saudi and Chechen terrorists in Damascus countryside, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency quoted a source in Hasaka province as saying that army units in cooperation with popular defense groups recaptured al-Watwatyeh and Alya towns from the ISIS terrorists in the southern countryside of the province after intensified operations in the said towns.

The source added that army units also recaptured the main power station, the Juvenile delinquencies institute and the agricultural arboretum in the same area.

The fresh progress in the southern countryside of Hasaka synchronized with clashes erupted between army units and ISIS terrorists in Jisr Abyad and the international driving school outside Hasaka city.

Over the past days, army units supported by popular defense groups and Syrian warplanes foiled ISIS terrorists’ bids to infiltrate into Hasaka city.

The ISIS terrorists used car bombs and fabricated reports to infiltrate into the city.

Moving towards the south of the country, army units destroyed mortar emplacements and hideouts of al-Nusra Front terrorists in the northeastern countryside of Daraa and in Daraa al-Balad as well as in al-Hamedeyeh town in the western countryside of Quneitra.

Many of al-Nusra Front terrorists were killed in the said areas.

Further terrorists including 9 Saudis and 6 Chechens were eliminated as army units struck al-Nusra Front hideouts in Khan al-Shieh town and its surrounding farms in Damascus countryside, according to a military source.

The source added that army units targeted terrorist hideouts in Beit Jen and al-Maqrousa towns outside Damascus, killing and injuring many terrorists there.

It indicated that Syrian warplanes destroyed an arms cache and several terrorist hideouts in Ein Tarma and Marj al-Sultan in Damascus countryside as well as in Jobar quarter near Damascus.

Large numbers of terrorists killed in Aleppo city   

Meanwhile, army units carried out fresh operations against terrorist organizations’s sites in the northern, eastern and western countryside of Aleppo and on the road leading to the Turkish territories as well as in some quarters in Aleppo city.

Large numbers of terrorists affiliated to the so-called the ‘Shohada’a Bader’ brigade were killed when army units targeted terrorists outposts in quarters of   al-Helwaneyeh, al-Shiejk Maqsoud, al-Na’anaee, Qadi Askar, the old city of Aleppo, al-Mash’had and al-Layramoun in Aleppo city.

The Turkish regime supports terrorist organizations operating in and outside Aleppo.

In another development, the Lebanese al-Manar TV channel confirmed that Lebanese resistance advanced in Arsal barrens amid the death of many of al-Nusra Front terrorists there.

The Lebanese resistance fully controlled today an area south-east of Arsal barrens after fierce clashes with terrorists.
