Syrian army repels infiltration bids into Thaaleh airbase in Sweida, kills over 100 terrorists

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed more than 22 terrorists in Daraa countryside and has repelled terrorists’ infiltration bids  into  al-Tha’aleh airbase in Sweida countryside.

According to the official news agency (SANA), army units killed 22 terrorists in towns of Em Walad and al-Kark al-Sharqi in Daraa countryside and targeted al-Nusra Front hideouts in Athman town, about 4km north of Daraa city.

Other hideouts for terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front and the so-called the ‘al-Mothanna’ movement in the southern edge of Kafer Shams and Kafer Nasej towns in the north-western countryside of Daraa were also struck by army units.

There were other strikes against terrorist outposts in Daraa al-Balad and in the same province [Daraa] and in the outskirts of Jazal, Byarat Tadmor, Jbab Hamad and al-Sawwaneh areas in eastern Homs countryside.

Large numbers of ISIS terrorists were eliminated in the strikes that targeted terrorist organizations in Homs countryside, according to a military source.

The source added that an army unit clashed with ISIS terrorists, who tried to attack the people of Em Jame’a town in the eastern countryside of Homs.

While, in the northern countryside of the same province, army units carried out fresh concentrated operations against al-Nusra Front terrorists in Taldo area.

Many terrorists were killed an injured in the operations.

Further terrorist were killed as army units continued to target terrorist hideouts in Idlib countryside and in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

Several arms caches belonging to the al-Nusra Front, the so-called the ‘Islam Army’ and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham Movement’ were destroyed in al-Khadraa and al-Soda towns in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

In another development, the Syrian TV channel reported that army units repelled several infiltration bids by terrorists into al-Thaaleh airbase in Sweida countryside and killed over 100 terrorists there.

Dozens of armored cars belonging to terrorists were destroyed in the confrontations.

Last night, army units recaptured Jazal town and all oil field there in Homs countryside.
