Syrian army recaptures town outside Damascus, repels ISIS attack on town outside Hassaka

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has recaptured a town in the southwestern countryside of Damascus and repelled ISIS attack on al-Dawdeyeh town south of Hassaka, the official news agency (SANA) reported Sunday.

The agency said that army units regained control of Rajm al-Sed in the southwestern countryside of Damascus after eliminating the last al-Nusra Front groupings there.

At the same time, army units targeted ISIS hideouts in the strategic al-Milbeyeh town by artillery shells and warded off ISIS attack on people of al-Dawdeyeh town outside Hassaka.

Syrian army regained control of al- al-Dawdeyeh town, which lies about 15 km south of Hassaka, by the beginning of last month.

In another development, army units killed many terrorists in al-Nashasheyeh area, which is located south-west of Hasya’a area near the Syrian-Lebanese border and struck terrorist hideouts in the eastern and northern countryside of Homs.

The Lebanese Future bloc and regional regimes support the flow of al-Nusra Front mercenaries and weapons via areas adjacent to Lebanon in Homs countryside and al-Qalamoun area.

Elsewhere, army units killed many terrorists and destroyed vehicles belonging to them in several areas outside Aleppo, Daraa and Idlib.
