PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has recaptured four strategic points in the northwestern countryside of Hama and has killed scores of ISIS and al-Nusra Front terrorists in Daraa, Homs and Aleppo, the official news agency (SANA) reported Thursday.
The agency quoted a military source as saying that army units regained control over several strategic points and hills in the northwestern countryside of Hama, near the administrative boundaries of Idlib, in the wake of a series of qualitative operations.
The operations resulted in the death of more than 40 terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front and the recapture of Ghazal and al-Aawar hills as well as al-Ziadeyeh and al-Sararif towns.
Scores of al-Nusra Front terrorists were also wounded and several vehicles and mortar emplacements belonging to them were destroyed in the operations, the source confirmed.
Further terrorists affiliated to the same terror organization [al-Nusra Front] were eliminated during today’s operations in al-Yadodeh town, about 5km west of Daraa city.
18 terrorists killed
A military source declared that at least 10 terrorists, mostly of foreign nationalities, were killed and 4 cars plus 2 cannons belonging to them were destroyed in the camp area.
“More 8 terrorists were also killed and 2 vehicles belonging to the so-called the ‘al-Yarmouk Army’ were destroyed in Sida town in the eastern countryside of Daraa”, the source added.
The same province [Daraa] witnessed military operations against terrorist organizations in Bosra al-Sham city in the eastern countryside of Daraa and in daraa al-Balad area.
Other operations were carried out by army units against terrorist outposts in al-lajat and Rajm al-Dawleh areas in the northeastern countryside of Sweida and in the northern and eastern countryside of Aleppo.
Many terrorist were killed and injured in the operations, According to SANA.
The agency indicated that army units killed many of ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Homs and destroyed several arms caches plus vehicles belonging to terrorists in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus and in the northern countryside of Lattakia.
