PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has struck hideouts of al-Nusra Front, the ‘Islamic Front’ and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ movement in the eastern countryside of Idlib and recaptured two wells and strategic hills in the northwestern countryside of Palmyra, according to the official news agency (SANA).
The agency reported today that army units carried out intensified strikes against hideouts of terrorists linked to the al-Nusra Front, the ‘Islamic Front’ and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ movement, which are supported by the Saudi regime in Qar’a al-Ghazal, al-Hoteh, al-Mjas and al-Shweha towns in Abo Duhur area in the eastern countryside of Idlib.
“Many terrorists were killed in the strikes,” a military source confirmed, adding that army units conducted a qualitative operation against terrorist hideouts in Khan Shiekhon area, about 70km south of Idlib.
Idlib province is Syria’s northern gate and it lies south of the Turkish-usurped Liwa Iskenderun . The Turkish Erdogan’s regime facilitates the flow of terrorist organizations’ members and weapons into Syria through Turkish-Syrian border.
The Turkish regime also supports terrorists affiliated to al-Nusra Front, the ‘Ahrar al-Sahel’ brigade and the ‘Sulatan Abdulhamid’ brigade, which spread in the northern countryside of Lattakia, SANA said.
Dozens of terrorists killed in Hama
It added that many terrorists were killed and injured today when army units targeted terrorist groupings in Dwerin and Kansaba towns in the northern countryside of Lattakia.
In northern Hama countryside, army units eliminated dozens of terrorists and destroyed weapons belonging to them in al-Latamneh and al-Sayyad towns outside Mhardeh.
Moving towards the south of the country, army units destroyed several vehicles belonging to terrorist organizations in Tal al-Harra and Tal al-Mal in Daraa countryside.
Last night, army units recaptured two wells in the oil Jzal field, which lies north-west of Palmyra city, and regained control of strategic hills in the eastern countryside of Homs where dozens of ISIS terrorists.
The ISIS Emir in the eastern countryside of Homs, Mohammad Nabil al-Trabilsi, plus two ISIS ringleaders –one of them Saudi- were among the terrorists killed in the said areas.
