Syrian army recaptures 8 towns from ISIS in Hassaka

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army in cooperation with popular defense groups regained control over 8 towns in the eastern countryside of Hassaka, the official news agency (SANA) reported Monday.

The agency quoted a source in the province of Hassaka as saying that army units recaptured towns of al-Slaleyeh, al-Hamer, Rad Shaqra, Sakher, al-Serb, al-Mjebra, Rejman and al-Tebbeh in the eastern country of Hassaka after eliminating all ISIS groups there.

Today’s progress coincided with killing many of al-Nusra Front terrorists and destroying a rocket launcher belonging to them in Daraa al-Balad in southern Daraa province.

More terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front and the so-called the ‘al-Mothanna Movement’ were eliminated in towns of Kafer Shams, Athman and al-Ghareyeh al-Sharqeyeh in Daraa countryside as well as in Mas’hara town in Quneitra countryside.

Moving towards the central region, army units pressed ahead with pursuing ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Homs and pounded several terror hideouts in Hama countryside.

Separately, SANA reported that 161 wanted persons from Damascus and its suburbs turned themselves in to the competent authorities for regularizing their situations.
