Syrian army makes gains against terrorists in Idleb province

IDLEB,(ST)_The Syrian army units have regained control over Lwebdah Gharbeyeh  town and Tal Khazneh area in the southeastern countryside of Idleb after eliminating all terrorist groups there.

According to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), the army units carried out this morning precise strikes on the hideouts of al-Nusra Front terrorists in Lwebdah Gharbeyeh and then engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorists there.

The clashes ended with liberating the town and Tal Khzneh area, which are located in the southeastern countryside of Idleb, after killing many terrorists.

Some of the terrorists ran away towards the western side of Ma’arret al-No’aman area, the agency added.

It pointed out that the army units carried out precision operations against terrorist groups in al-Msherfeh town in the southeastern countryside of Idleb and inflicted heavy losses upon them.

Last August, the army units recaptured the strategic Khan Shikhoun and al-Habit towns plus other villages and towns in the southern side of Idleb. However, there are still terrorist groups, including hundreds of foreign mercenaries, in other areas in Idleb province.

The terrorist groups have infiltrated from the Turkish border into the Syrian territories with the support of the Turkish regime.

In another development, the Syrian army has started moving from Jwadeyeh town towards Malkeyeh town in Hasaka province in order to deploy its troops along the Syrian-Turkish border.
