Syrian army makes fresh progress inside Zabadani city, kills scores of al-Nusra Front terrorists in Lattakai

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syria army has recorded fresh progress in Zabadani city in the northwestern countryside of Damascus and has intensified operations against al-Nusra Front terrorists in Daraa province, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency reported today that army units in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance controlled more buildings inside the city of Zabadani a day after they controlled 20 buildings in the city and seized an arms cache contacting big quantity of RPG and mortars, some of them were made in Israel.

The fresh progress  in Zabadani city, which is located 45km north-west of Damascus, synchronized with intensified operations  carried out by army units against al-Nusra Front terrorists in Daraa al-Balad in Daraa province and against the Jaish al-Slam terrorists [Islam Army] in the western farms of Duma city in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

The operations resulted in the death of scores of Jaish al-Islam terrorists, who infiltrated last night into al-Smadi quarries and al-Mashtal area in the western farms of Duma city.

Add to that, army units advanced from the western side of the flashpoint area and reinforced their positions there amid reports of targeting a hideout near Municipality building in Duma city during the Jaish al-Islam terrorist ringleaders’ meeting.

More than 20 terrorists were killed and injured inside the hideout, SANA said, denying reports about terrorist organizations’ capture of Women prison in the Damascus central prison. 

Further terrorists affiliated to ISIS [also known as ISEL, IS, and Daesh] were eliminate in a qualitative operations in Saed town and al-Gharib valley in the eastern countryside of Sweida.

There were also military operations against terrorist organizations in Palmyra and in and outside Aleppo  as well as in the eastern countryside of Homs and in several areas in Idleb and Hama countryside.

“An arms cache plus large numbers of vehicles belonging to terrorists were destroyed in al-Jabbol town and on the outskirts of al-Sfira and Hwejeneh towns in  the southeastern countryside of Aleppo, a military source said.

While in the eastern countryside of Homs, an army unit clashed with ISIS terrorist group that tried to infiltrate into Maksar al-Hsan town.

Moreover, army units killed over 19 terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front in towns of Al-Zwek, al-Shmeseyeh, Ketf al-Remman and al-Maroneyat in the northern countryside of Lattakai.

Scores of al-Nusra Front terrorists were also killed during clashes with army units on Jeb al-Ghar axis in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

separately, SANA reported that 108 wanted persons from Homs and Damascus and its suburb turned themselves in to the competent authorities for regularizing their situations.
