Syrian army makes fresh progress in Hasaka and Hama, kills 2 of al-Nusra Front ringleaders

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has made fresh progress in Hasaka city and Hama countryside and has carried out intensified strikes against terrorist organizations in Idlib and Daraa and in the countrysides of Lattakia, Damascus, Homs and Quneitra.

The fresh progress manifested in recapturing several buildings from ISIS terrorists in al-Nashweh neighborhood in Hasak countryside.

The official news agency (SANA) reported that army units in cooperation with national forces regained control over two buildings at a square in the eastern al-Nashweh neighborhood and drove ISIS terrorist out of a large swath of the eastern edge of the neighborhood.

More buildings in the western al-Nashweh neighborhood were recaptured by army units and national forces in the wake of killing scores of ISIS terrorists and pounding their hideouts.

Two days ago, army units and national forces fully controlled all building surrounding the graveyard on the southeastern edge of Ghweran neighborhood, paving the way for the return of hundreds of families to their homes.

In another development, army units continued to pursue al-Nusra Front terrorists in towns of al-Derra, Dwerka, al-Sekkareyeh, Marj Khokha, Kalas, al-Qasatel  and Shalaf in the northern countryside of Lattakia.   

Many terrorists were killed and injured and big quantity of weapons was destroyed in the said towns, according to a military source.

36 terrorists killed  

Further terrorist were killed in airstrikes staged by Syrian warplanes against terrorist organizations in the eastern and southern countryside of Idlib.

Yesterday, army units killed over 36 terrorists, including leader of the so-called the ‘al-Hawen’ battalion, dubbed Abo Mosaab, in Kansafra and Maaret al-Noaman areas in the same province [Idlib].

Moving towards the central region, army units regained control over the southern Aqrab hill and made progress from the east northern axis, hills axis, the western entrance and the eastern quarter.

Terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front spread in Aqrab town, which is located 30km south-west of Hama city.

In the same province [Hama], Syrian warplanes bombed terrorist organizations’ hideouts in al-Rahjan town, about 50km east of Hama, and in al-Mofakker town in Salameyeh countryside.

SANA confirmed the death of many terrorists in the airstrikes, adding that there were airstrikes against terrorist organizations in and outside Palmyra in Homs countryside and in Qalamoun Mountain in Damascus countryside.

It pointed out that army units carried out fresh operations against the al-Nusra Front terrorists in Daraa and Quneitra countryside.

Intensified operations

Social media said that two ringleaders in al-Nusra Front, their names Hodsam Lila and Mohammad Alaaeddin, were killed during intensified operations carried out by army units in Tranja and Jebbata al-Khashab towns in the northern countryside of Quneitra.

The US, Israeli, Saudi, Qatari, French and Turkish intelligence agents run the Amman Military Operations Center (MOC) which gives order to terrorist organizations operating in Daraa and Quneitra countryside.
