Syrian army, Lebanese resistance retake more areas in Jarajir barrens

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army and Lebanese resistance have continued their advance in al-Jarajir barrens in Qalamoun area, as Syrian warplanes bombs hideouts of the ‘al-Fateh Army’ and the ISIS terrorists in Idlib and Hasaka countryside.

According to the official news agency (SANA), Syrian army units and Lebanese resistance expanded their control over Qalamoun area after they recaptured Qarnetl Sh’ab al-Nsob, Qarnet Abo Harb, Qarnet Sam’an and Qarnet Shmis al-Hsan areas in al-Jarajir barrens.

The recapture of the new areas was made after heavy clashes with terrorists, the agency said, adding that terrorists affiliated to the ISIS and the al-Nusr Front ran away due to the intensive strike against them.

There were other clashes erupted between an army unit and an armed terrorist group that tried to infiltrate from Wadi Khalid towards Talkalakh countryside in Homs countryside.

The clashes resulted in the death of the most of the terrorist group’s members, a military source said.

Infiltration bid from Lebanon

Most of the terrorists in border Wadi Khalid area are belonging to the al-Nusra Front and they receive money and arms from the Lebanese Future Bloc and the Saudi regime.  

In the eastern countryside of Homs, army units struck ISIS groupings on the outskirts of Jazal field and in al-Bayyarat area, west of Palmyra city.

Many of the terrorists were killed in the said areas and in Talbiseh area and al-Rastan city in the northern countryside of the same province [Homs].

The terrorists killed in the northern Homs countryside were belonging to the al-Nusra Front.

Qualitative operations against ISIS

Further terrorists affiliated to ISIS, also known as ISIL or IS, were eliminated when an army units carried a qualitative operation in the complex of water wells in al-Rashedeh town, which lies 30km east of Sweida city.

The ISIS terrorists turned the complex into an arms cache and a Launchpad for their attacks on the people in Sweida desert.

Airstrikes on ‘al-Fateh Army’ ringleadersin Idlib

In another development, Syrian warplanes destroyed a convoy of ISIS vehicles in the southern countryside of Hasaka and hit hideout of the so-called ‘al-Fateh Army’ ringleaders in Kafr Ewid town in the southeastern countryside of Jir Esh Shugur in Idlib countryside.

One of the ‘ al-Fateh Army’ ringleaders, dubbed Abo Ahmad al-Darwish, was among the terrorists killed in town of Kafr Ewid.

The ‘ al-Fateh Army’ includes terrorists from the al-Nusra Front, the ‘Soqor al-Sham’, the ‘Jend al-Aqsa’, the ‘al-Sham’ legion, the ‘al-Haq’ brigade, the ‘Sunni Army’, the ‘Ajnad al-Sham’ and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham Movement’, which are linked with the Saudi regime.

Southern Front

Moving towards the southern region, army units killed a terrorist group in an area located west of Athman town, around 4km north of Daraa city, and continued to target terrorist organizations in Daraa al-Balad in the same province and in Nab’a al-Sakher, al-Morabba’at and Tal Mashara surrounding in Quneitra countryside.

The US, Israeli, Saudi, Qatari, French and Turkish intelligence agents run the Amman Military Operations Center (MOC) which gives order to terrorist organizations operating in Daraa and Quneitra countryside.

YPG recaptures towns outside Raqqa

Separately, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that the Kurdish people’s protection units recaptured 4 towns from ISIS in Raqqa countryside.

The towns are located north of Slok town.
