Syrian army, Lebanese resistance flush out al-Nusra Front terrorists from Flita barrens in Qalamoun area

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army and Lebanese resistance have fully controlled Flita barrens in Qalamoun area on Syrian-Lebanese border , as scores of al-Nusra Front terrorists have been killed in airstrikes carried out by Syrian warplanes in Idlib and Hama.

According to a military source, Syrian army units and Lebanese resistance recaptured Flita barrens in Qalamoun area after they inflicted heavy losses on al-Nusra Front terrorists there.

Today’s achievement came a day after recapturing al-Thallajeh hill in Flita barrens by Syrian army and Lebanese resistance.

It synchronized with pounding terrorist hideouts on the outskirts of Duma and Zebdin areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and in al-Seltaneyeh town and al-Rastan hill in Homs countryside, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency confirmed the death of many terrorists in the said areas and in quarters of Ein al-Tal, Bab al-Hadid, Karm al-Mayser, al-Layramoun, al-Mash’had, Salaheddin, Hanano and the old city in Aleppo as well as in the southern, eastern and western edges of Aleppo countryside.

Further terrorists were eliminated and several vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns belonging to them were destroyed in quarters of al-Hweja, al-Senaa, al-Rosafeh and al-Hweqa in Der Ezzour city.

Southern front

Moving towards the south of the country, Syrian warplanes bombed terrorist hideouts in al-Ghareyeh al-Sharqeyeh area, around 24km north-east  of Daraa city, and in al-Harra town, which lies near border line with the Israeli-occupied Golan, where scores of terrorist were killed and injured.

The same province [Daraa] witnessed a qualitative operation against  terrorist groupings affiliated to al-Nusra front, the so-called the ‘Jidour Horan’ brigade and the ‘Asadollah’ brigade in the northwestern countryside of Daraa, precisely west of the southern entrance of Kafer Shams town.

A military source said that many terrorists were killed in the operation, adding that 6 terrorists affiliated to the so-called the al-Yarmouk brigade, including a Saudi terrorists-dubbed A bo Osama- and a Jordanian one- his name Abdulrahman Khalefeh al-Radi- were killed in another qualitative operation in Daraa al-Balad.

3 cars equipped with machineguns belonging to terrorists were destroyed during the qualitative operation in Daraa al-Balad, the source added.

There were also other operations against terrorist organizations in al-Samdaneyeh  al-Gharbeyeh town in the northern countryside of Quneitra and in the outskirts of Bothaina hill in the northeastern countryside of Sweida.

Many terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front were killed in al-Samdaneyeh  al-Gharbeyeh town, while terrorists affiliated to the ISIS were killed in Sweida countryside.

Intensified airstrikes in Idlib

In another development, Syrian warplanes struck terrorist organizations’ sites in Ariha area, Kafer Nobbel, al-Taman’aa, Tal Salmo, Khan Shiekhon towns and in the outskirts of Abo Duhur airbase outside Idlib where scores of terrorists were killed and 5 weapons-laden cars belonging to them were destroyed.

An arms cache belonging to the al-Nusra Front was destroyed in Kafer Nobbel town and several hideouts belonging to the same terror organization [al-Nusra Front] were pounded in the other said areas, according to  a military source.

Earlier today, army units evacuated some military pots on the outskirts of Mhambel town and positioned in new sites that are suitable for the forthcoming battles in the area.

Terrorist organizations announced through social media the death of  the leader of the ‘al-Sham brigade’, his name Arafat al-Asaad, plus the military leader of the ‘Shohada’a al-Jehad’ battalion, Mahmod al-Hasan in Idlib countryside.

In the northwestern countryside f Hama, army units killed many terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ Movement during airstrikes in al-Latamneh, Kafer Zetta, Abdon, al-Hamedeyeh and Qaston towns that lies near administrative boundaries with Idlib province.

The airstrikes coincided with repelling terrorists groups’ infiltration bids  into Khattab town in Homs countryside and into al-Sakman town in the northeastern countryside of Hasaka.
