Syrian army, Lebanese resistance advance in Jarajir barrens amid fierce clashes with al-Nusra Front terrorists

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army and the Lebanese resistance have advanced into al-Jarajir barrens from the southern side amid fierce clashes with terrorist organizations.  

According to the official news agency (SANA), Syrian army in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance regained control of Sho’abet al-Tamseh, Sho’abet Wadi al-Ahmar and Qarnet Wadi al-Ahmar in al-Jarajir barrens as well as Raas al-Kosh and the entrance of Wadi al-Qadomi in Qalamoun area in Damascus countryside.

Today’s advance coincided with obliterating al-Nusra Front hideouts in Beit Jin area in the southwestern countryside of Damascus and targeting terrorists’ supply routes from the Turkish border towards the northwestern countryside of Aleppo.  

A military source confirmed that many terrorists were killed and injured in Hayyan town, which lies on the international road that leads to Turkey.

It added that army units carried out concentrated operations against the al-Nusra Front hideouts in quarters of Bani Zied, al-Sekkari, Bistan al-Qasr, al-Shiekh Saeed, al-Jazmati, Karm al-Trab, al-Rashedin and al-Sha’aar in Aleppo city.

There were also other operations against the ISIS terrorists on the outskirts of the Air Forces Academy on the international road that links between Raqqa and the eastern Aleppo countryside.

Moving towards the southern front, SANA reported that army units struck terrorist hideouts in al-Mtelleh and Rwesat towns in al-Lajat area in Daraa countryside and in Daraa al-Balar area.

25 terrorists killed

Terrorists affiliated to the so-called the ‘al-Omari’ brigades, the ‘al-Yarmouk’ army and the ‘ al-Mohajerin al-Nsar’ brigade were eliminated in al-Lajat area.

Social media said that 25 terrorists, including a field commander in the ‘al-Sebtin’ brigade, were killed in Daraa countryside.

While in Sweida countryside, army units destroyed ISIS vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns on the outskirts of Bothaina hill.

In the central region, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel said that Syrian army engaged in fierce clashes against the ISIS terrorists, who captured some points in the Jazal oil field in Palmyra countryside.

Last month, the ISIS terrorists captured Palmyra city and perpetrated a crime against innocent civilians.
