Syrian army kills terrorist ringleaders, clashes with ISIS terrorists

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed 5 terrorist ringleaders in Hama countryside and has clashed with ISIS terrorists in al-Villat al-Homer quarter in Hasak city.

According to the official news agency (SANA), army units fired artillery shells on terrorist hideouts during terrorist ringleaders’ meeting is Tlol al-Hemer town, about 10km east of Salameyeh city in Hama countryside.

At least 5 terrorist ringleaders, who were inside one of the hideouts, were killed.

Add to that, army units destroyed an arms depot belonging to ISIS terrorists in the agricultural research center in the eastern countryside of Salameyeh.

Several vehicles belonging to the same terrorist organizations [ISIS, also known as ISIL or IS] were destroyed on the outskirts of Palmyra city.

Yesterday, army units recaptured driving school, which lies outside Palmyra, from ISIS terrorists.

7 kilometers away from Palmyra gate

The Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that Syrian army are just 7 kilometers away from the Palmyra gate. It clarified that Syrian army launched an operation to retake Palmyra from ISIS terrorists.

Sources at military operation center told al-Mayadeen reporter that Syrian army is engaged in a war in an open desert from three axes where more than 100 gunmen were killed.

” The army units recaptured al-Bayyarat area during the first stage of the ground operation to have a Launchpad for making a progress supported by  concentrated airstrikes,” the reporter said, indicating that ISIS gunmen started to withdraw from some areas in Palmyra countryside towards  al-Sekhneh and al-Raqqa. 

There were also fresh military operations against terrorist organizations in the eastern and northern countryside of Homs and in Idlib countryside.

Syrian warplanes bombed the Jaish al-Fateh terrorists’ hideouts in Jannet al-Qora, al-Taman’a, Kafer Ewid, Tal Salmo and Tal al-Fakhar  towns and on the outskirts of Abo Duhur airbase as well in several areas in the southern countryside of Idlib.

The so-called the ‘ Jaish al-Fateh’ is composed of the ‘Ahrar al-Sham Movement, the ‘Jond al-Aqsa’, the al-Sham brigade, the al-Haq brigade and the al-Nusra Front.  

17 Jaish al-Islam terrorists killed

In Damascus countryside, army units destroyed an arms cache and killed many terrorist ringleaders affiliated to al-Nusra Front and the ‘Jaish al-Islam’ in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

Last night, army units eliminated 17 terrorists belonging to the Jaish al-Islam and destroyed 7 cars belonging to them in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus

Another arms cache plus mortar emplacement belonging to terrorist organizations were destroyed during airstrikes in Zabadani city, according to SANA.

The agency added that army units and popular defense groups clashed with ISIS terrorists in al-Villat al-Homer quarter in Hasaka city.
