Syrian army kills scores of al-Nusra Front terrorists in Aleppo, destroys 10 arms-laden cars coming from Jordan to terrorists

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed and wounded 100 terrorists from al-Nusra Front [Jabhat al-Nusra] in Aleppo province and has destroyed 10 weapons-laden cars coming to terrorists from Jordan, according to military sources.

The sources added that army units  have thwarted ISIS terrorists’ attacks on a military post in the eastern countryside of Hasaka and have struck terrorist organizations in the eastern countryside of Homs.

In details, a military source declared that 40 terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front were killed and 65 others wounded during a qualitative operation carried out by an army unit against a terrorist hideout in al-Shaqif area on the northern edge of Aleppo city.

“The operation also resulted in the destruction of a rocket launcher and a cannon belonging to the terrorists,” the source said, adding that Syrian warplanes destroyed 11 vehicles for terrorists on Hritan-Layramon road and on Kastillo-Sakan Shababi road.

The source indicated that army units carried out concentrated operations against terrorist organizations in quarters of Salaheddinm Bani Zied, Bistan al-Bash, al-Rashedin 4, al-Sheikh Kheder and Karm al-Trab in Aleppo city, inflicting heavy losses on terrorists.

More terrorists were killed during operations in the eastern, western and northern countryside of the same province.

Moving towards the south of the country, an army unit destroyed 10 cars loaded with weapons for terrorist in Kherbet al-Ambashi area in Badia of Sweida, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency clarified that the cars were coming from Jordan border through Ghader Abo Sharshoh town.

It pointed out that army units targeted ISIS terrorists in Kherbet Saed town in the northeastern countryside of Sweida and eliminated scores of Israeli-linked terrorists on the outskirts of Khan Arnabeh town and in orchards of Jabbata al-Khashab town as well as in Tranjeh and Ofania towns in Quneitra countryside.

Clashes with ISIS terrorists

Army units, in addition, clashed with ISIS terrorists , who attacked a military post in Tal Mabt area, about 17km east of Hasaka city.

“3 terrorists were killed and 3 others wounded in the clashes, a source in the province of Hasaka said.

While in the western side of Hasaka, army fired artillery shells on ISIS sites in Tal Barod south of Jabal Abdulaziz.  

Further ISIS terrorists were killed in air strikes conducted by Syrian warplanes  on the outskirts of al-Shaer oil field north-west of Palmyra  city and in an area located north of al-Qaryateen city, about 85km south-east of Homs city.

560 wanted persons surrender

Separately, SANA reported that 560 wanted persons from  Homs, Quneitra, Damascus and its countryside turned themselves in to the competent authorities for regularizing their situations in accordance with national reconciliation process.

The competent authorities regularized situations of 103 wanted persons from al-Rastan, Talbeseh, al-Holeh and other quarters of Homs.
