Syrian army kills over 71 terrorists and pounds terror hideouts in 6 provinces

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed over 52 terrorists in Aleppo, Quneitra and Lattakia countryside and has destroyed several terrorist hideouts in Idleb and Hama countryside.

According to a military source, army units, backed by Syrian warplanes, targeted terrorist organizations in towns of al-Seikh Lutfi, Kweris, Erbid and Rasm al-Abed and on the outskirts of al-Nairab airbase in the eastern countryside of Aleppo as well as on the outskirts of the Air Forces Academy east of Aleppo city and in several quarters of Aleppo city.

At least 30 terrorists were killed and several vehicles belonging to them were destroyed in the said areas.

15 more terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front [Jabhat al-Nusra] were eliminated during clashes with an army units and popular defense groups at junction of al-Amal farms in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

The clashes, which were erupted today at dawn, ended with the destruction of 5 vehicles and 5 cannons, a military source said.

in the northern countryside of Lattakia,  an army unit in cooperation with popular defense groups carried qualitative operation against terrorist organizations in al-Mrij town where 7 terrorists were killed and a vehicle loaded with weapons was destroyed, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency added that army units pounded last night several hideouts of the ‘Jaish al-Fateh’ terrorists in the southeastern countryside of Idleb and in al-Taman’a town in the southern countryside of the same province as well as in al-Mansoura town in the northwestern countryside of Hama.

Over 8 terrorists were killed in al-Taman’a town, field sources declared.

There were also military operations against terrorist organizations in Daraa and Sweida countryside as well as in the eastern and northern countryside of Homs and in Raqqa province.

Many terrorist were killed and injured in the operations, according to SANA.

Yesterday, army units killed over 11 terrorists from the so-called the ‘Jaish al-Islam’ in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

Clashes among ‘Jaish al-Fateh’ terrorists

In another development, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that clashes flared up between al-Nusra Front and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ Movement in towns of al-Dana and Sarmada in Idleb countryside.

The clashes between the two sides are the first since they joined the so-called the ‘Jaish al-Fateh’ [Army of the conquest].
