Syrian army kills over 30 ISIS terrorists east of Homs, moves towards the heart Zabadani city

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed over 30 ISIS terrorists in al-Qaryatain city in Homs countryside and has recaptured several  buildings west of al-Zabadani city in Damascus countryside amid continuity of operations against terrorist organizations in Daraa and in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

According to a military source, Syrian warplanes bombed today at dawn ISIS groupings in al-Qaryatain city, about 85 km east of Homs, killing at least 30 terrorists, most of them were of Saudi and Tunisian nationalities.

“Two Saudi leaders in the ISIS, dubbed Abo Hajar and Abo Abdullah, were among terrorists killed in the airstrikes,” the source said, adding that a cache of rockets plus 7 vehicles equipped with machineguns for terrorists were destroyed in the city a day after destroying a convoy of ISIS vehicles on road linking al-Qaryatain and Mahin towns.

Last Wednesday, ISIS terrorists infiltrated into al-Qaryatain city and forced hundreds of families to flee their homes and abducted 230 civilians.

In the same province [Homs], Syrian warplanes destroyed several ISIS vehicles east of quarries area and on the outskirts of fuel station west of Palmyra city.  

Many terrorists arrested in Zabadani

While in Damascus countryside, Syrian army in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance regained control over several buildings in the western quarter and al-Zahraa area west of Zabadai city.

A military source confirmed the death of large numbers of terrorists and the arrest of others during the operations in the city.

There were also other military operations against terrorist organizations in Semlin town in the northern countryside of Daraa and in al-Rihaneyeh town in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

The operations resulted in the death of many terrorists and the destruction of a weapons-laden car plus a cache containing big quantity of bombs in al-Rihaneyeh town.

Infiltration bid foiled

Add to that, an army unit clashed with a terrorist group that tried to infiltrate from Rakhem and al-Kark al-Sharqi towns in the eastern countryside of Daraa into Skaka town in the western countryside of Sweida.

All the terrorist group’s members were mowed down during the clashes, a military source confirmed.

In another development, army units recaptured several buildings in Sulaiman al-Halabi quarter in Aleppo city, according to the Syrian TV channel.
