Syrian army kills over 187 terrorists in Der Ezzour, Aleppo, Homs

ALEPPO,(ST)_More than 187 terrorists have been killed during military operations carried out by Syrian army units in Aleppo, Der Ezzour and Homs, according to military sources.

The sources said today that army units, backed by Syrian warplanes, killed over 50 terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front and ISIS in quarters of Karm al-Jabal, Suleiman al-Halabi, al-Rashedin, al-Ramoseh, al-Khaledeyeh, al-Layramon, Bani Zied, al-Sakhour and Bistan al-Bash in Aleppo city and in several towns in the western, eastern and southeastern countryside s of the same province.

23 more terrorists affiliated to ISIS were eliminated on the outskirts of Hwisis area in the eastern countryside of Homs, the sources confirmed, adding that Syrian warplanes bombed ISIS sites in Palmyra city and on the outskirts of al-Shaer field as well as in al-Qaryaten city in Homs countryside.

There were also operations against al-Nusra Front terrorists in Kaferlaha, al-Saen al-Aswad, al-Saen al-Shamali and al-Ghanto towns in the northern countryside of Homs.

Infiltration bid in Daraa

While in southern Daraa province, an army unit warded off a Takfiri terrorist group’s infiltration bid into al-Mansheyeh quarter in Daraa al-Balad and killed many terrorists.

The infiltration bid aims at supporting the terrorists, who are receiving knockdown  blows in quarter of al-Mansheyeh due to the progress being made by army units there, the official news agency (SANA) reported.

The agency indicated that army units struck the al-Nusra Front  terrorists in Khan Shekhon area in the southern countryside of Idleb and killed many terrorists affiliated to the so-called the Jaish al-Fateh’ [Army of the Conquest] in Kafersejneh and Ishtabraq towns in the same province.

Further terrorists were eliminated during airstrikes on terrorist organizations in Eqibat, al-Qastal, Jroh, Atshan, Kafer Zita, al-Latamneh and al-Sayyad in Hama countryside.

5 terrorists from ‘Bait al-Maqdes’ group killed

Moving again towards the south of country, army units in cooperation with popular defense groups destroyed 5 vehicles belonging to the so-called the ‘Bait al-Maqdes’ Group during an operation in an area located between al-Hamedeyeh and Jabbata al-Khashab towns in Quneitr countryside.

5 terrorists from the said group [Bait al-Maqdes] were killed during the operation, according to social media.

The province of Quneitra witnessed today terror attacks on towns of Hader, Krom Mheres and Harfa towns.

Al-Nusra Front terrorists fired rocket from Jabbata al-Khashab on the said towns, causing material damage and a power cut in Jaba town.

In Der Ezzour province, army units killed last night 14 ISIS terrorists in Mrat town a day after killing 100 ISIS terrorists and wounding 115 others during operations in al-Kharita town in western countryside of the province.  

55 wanted persons surrender

Separately, SANA reported that 55 wanted persons from Homs, Hama, Idleb, Damascus and its suburb turned themselves in to the competent authorities for regularizing their situation in accordance with the ongoing national reconciliation process.
