PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has warded off al-Nusra Front terrorists’ attack on Abo Duhur airbase in Idleb countryside and has killed over 100 terrorists east of Daraa city, according to military sources.
A military source declared today that army units in Abo Duhur airbase, backed by air forces, warded off al-Nusra Front terrorists’ attack on the airbase located in the southeastern countryside of Idleb.
“The air forces bombed al-Nusra Front groupings and vehicles on the outskirts of the airbase, killing large numbers of terrorists, “the source confirmed, adding that there were air strikes against the ‘Jaish al-Fateh’ terrorists’ hideouts in Abo Duhur area, about 50km south-east of Idleb city, and in Jisr Esh Shugur city and Jabal al-Zaweyeh area.
In addition, Syrian warplanes bombed ISIS terrorists’ sites on the outskirts of the Air Forces Academy, about 40 km east of Aleppo city, where several armored cars and weapons belonging to terrorists were destroyed.
Over the past months, army units warded off several attacks launched by ISIS terrorists on the academy, according to the official news agency (SANA).
Moving towards the south of the country, army units killed over 100 terrorists, most of them were from al-Nusra Front, in airstrikes on terrorist hideouts in Dael town, about 14km north of Daraa city.
Dael town is a main stronghold of mercenaries, who infiltrate through Jordanian border into Syrian territories, to perpetrate crimes in the northern countryside of Daraa in an implementation of the agenda of the Military Operation Center (MOC), which is run by the Israeli Mossad and western, regional and Arab intelligence agents.
In another development, army units killed further terrorists in the northern edge of Zemrin town in Daraa countryside and in Plamyra countryside as well as in the northwestern countryside of Hama.
Gas masks seized
Separately, SANA reported that popular defense groups in Ghweran quarter in Hasaka city seized today gas masks plus 2 explosive devices and various types of weapons and munitions inside a tunnel used by ISIS terrorists.
On August 25, Customs Department confiscated a car loaded with a big quantity of munition near al-Mshirfeh town, 18 km north-east of Homs city.
