Syrian army kills many terrorists on outskirts of Shaer field in Homs, pounds terrorist hideout in Daraa

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has repelled ISIS- linked terrorists attack on the outskirts of al-Shaer gas field in eastern countryside of Homs, media sources reported Friday.

The official news agency (SANA) quoted a military source as saying that army units killed many terrorists on the outskirts of al-Shaer Mountain and in Beit Rab’a and Kafrlaha towns in Homs countryside.

While the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel said that Syrian army warded off an attack by terrorists from the Daesh [known as ISIS or IS] on the outskirts of al-Shaer field.

It added that Syrian army regained control of Em Remman height, which lies northeast al-Dmer, in Damascus countryside and reopened Damascus-Iraq road.

The fresh advance has not confirmed by official media outlets.

The Syrian TV channel said that army units eliminated many terrorists in Kafr Hamra, Sheikh Lutfi, Hritan, Karm Mayser,  Jesr al-Haj, karm al-Jazmati, Ein Jara, al-Ramoseh, Khan al-Assal, Krom Azezeh in and outside Aleppo and pounded a terrorist hideout in Sheikh Meskin town in Daraa countryside.      

On the other hand, the al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that leader of the so-called the ‘al-Sahabeh’ battalions, dubbed Abo Ghaleb, died of wounds he had sustained yesterday in detonation of an explosive device in al-Hajar al-Aswad area south Damascus.
