Syrian army kills large numbers of terrorists in Homs and Daraa, recaptures points outside Der Ezzour airbase
PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed large numbers terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front and allied terrorist organizations in the northern countryside of Homs and in the northeastern countryside of Daraa.
According to a military source, army units killed today large numbers of al-Nusra Front terrorists during operations in al-Farhaneyeh town in Talbisa area and on Kaferlaha-Talf junction in al-Holeh area in the northern countryside of Homs.
The operations coincided with clashes erupted between other army units and terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front, the so-called the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’, the ‘Homs Legion’, the ‘Ahel al-Sunni and al-Jama’a’ group and the ‘Ajnad’ Homs’ as they were trying to infiltrate from al-Ghajar town into Kafernan orchards, about 7km west of Talbisa city.
The clashes resulted in the death of many terrorists and the destruction of their weapons, the source said.
Add to that, Syrian warplanes bombed ISIS hideouts on the outskirts of al-Tebeh, al-Amereyeh, al-Sekhneh towns and Palmyra airbase in the eastern countryside of Homs, killing and injuring scores of terrorists.
As many as 50 ISIS terrorists were killed and injured when Syrian warplanes hit terrorist hideouts in towns of Jbab Hamad, al-Shendakheteh and Em Sehrej in the same area.
More terrorists affiliated to the same organization [al-Nusra Front] were killed during operations in al-Krak al-Sharqi town in the northeastern countryside of Daraa.
While in Damascus countryside, army units killed over 30 terrorisrs in al-Zabadani city and in the Eastern Ghouta.
There were also operations against terrorist organizations in the eastern edge of Bab al-Kheir town in the southern countryside of Hasaka and in al-Hamedeyeh quarter in Aleppo city.
Last night, army units in cooperation with popular defense groups recaptured several points on the outskirts of Der Ezzour airbase and killed many ISIS terrorist there, according to the official news agency (SANA).
