PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed over 74 terrorists in Aleppo and Damascus countryside and has clashed with armed terrorist groups in Quneitra countryside.
According to the official news agency (SANA), army units killed today over 60 terrorists and destroyed an arms depot belonging to them during qualitative operations in quarters of Bab al-Naser and al-Sakhour in Aleppo city.
14 more terrorists affiliated to the so-called the ‘Jaish al-Islam’ were eliminated in Duma city and Zebdin town in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, field sources said, adding that army units clashed with armed terrorist organizations in al-Nashabeyeh area south of the eastern Ghouta.
There were also operations against terrorist organizations in Jobar quarter near Damascus where several terrorist hideouts were pounded.
In Quneitra province, army units targeted terrorist organizations in Ein al-Bida and Jebbata al-Khashab in the northern countryside of the province and destroyed a vehicle equipped with heavy machine gun for terrorists in Ofania town.
Many terrorists affiliated to al-Nusra Front were killed and injured in Ofania town and in al-Hamedeyeh town amid reports of clashes erupted between army units and armed terrorist groups in the middle countryside of Quneitra.
“5 vehicles belonging to terrorists were destroyed in the clashes during which many terrorists were mowed down,” SANA said.
The agency added that army units struck terrorist organizations in al-Sheikh Meskin town in the northern countryside of Daraa and in Daraa al-Balad area in the same province as well as in Enq al-Hawa and Rhom towns in Homs countryside.
Truce in Zabadani, Kefraya, Foa
In another development, a ceasefire deal has been reached in Zabadani area northwest of Damascus and in Kafraya and Foa towns in Idleb countryside, according to the Lebanese al-Manar TV channel.
The deal, under the UN supervision, provides for the withdrawal of terrorists holed up in Zabadani city and the evacuation of civilians from Kafraya and Foa towns .
It would be implemented within six months, during which time there would be an extended ceasefire in the areas. Evacuation of wounded from both sides could begin as early as Friday.
The deal came just days after Syrian army units and Hezbollah on the one hand and the gunmen on the other agreed on a third ceasefire in the areas since August.
In this context, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel clarified that deal also included the evacuation of families from Beqin, Serghaya ana Madaya areas in Damascus countryside and opening humanitarian corridors to all areas mentioned in the deal.
