Syrian army kills 70 terrorists, wards off attack on al-Rastan dam

PROVINCES,(ST)_Over 70 terrorists were killed and 40 others wounded in air strikes carried out by Syrian warplanes against al-Nusra Front [Jabhat al-Nusra] hideouts in the northeastern countryside of Lattakia, which is adjacent to Hama and Idlib provinces.

According to a military source the air strikes targeted al-Nusra Front hideouts in Rweset al-Mloha, Ketf al-Hariq, Jeb al-Ahmar, al-Samkofeh and al-Markashleyeh areas north-east of Lattakia city.

The source confirmed that a Saudi terrorist, dubbed ‘Na’em’, from al-Nusra Front was among those who were killed in the said areas.

The town of Jeb al-Ahmar is a main stronghold of the terrorist organizations that spread on the outskirts of al-Ghab plain and in the southern countryside of Jisr Esh Shugur area where Syrian army has engaged in large-scale military operation to cut off terrorists’ supply routes.  

One of the ringleaders of the so-called the ‘Soqor al-Ghab Grouping’, his name Ahmad Zidan alongside other terrorists were killed when Syrian warplanes bombed terrorist organizations hideouts in al-Ghab plain in Hama countryside, according to the official news agency (SANA).

‘Soqor al-Ghab Grouping’ leader killed

While social media confirmed the death of the ‘Soqor al-Ghab Grouping’ leader , his name Jamil Ra’adon, as his car was exploded inside the Turkish territories.

The ‘Soqor al-Ghab Grouping’ is one of the most dangerous terrorist groups that receive arms and support from the Turkish regime to implement an agenda against the Syrian people.

In the same province [Hama], Syrian warplanes bombed today terrorist organizations in al-Mshik and Qaston towns in the northwestern countryside of the province and destroyed several vehicles belonging to the al-Nusra Front in towns of al-Inkawi, Tal Waset, al-Mansoura, Tal Zajram and al-Zyara and south of al-Hakora town as well as in al-Latamneh town.

There were also airstrikes against the so-called the ‘Jaish al-Fateh’ terrorists [The army of conquest] in the southwestern and in the southeastern countryside of the Idlib where many terrorist were killed, SANA reported.

The agency added that Syrian warplanes destroyed vehicles belonging to ISIS terrorists east of the Jazal oil field and north of al-Qaryaten town, about 85km east of Homs countryside.

ISIS terrorist’ attack on towns in Homs countryside foiled

The airstrikes coincided with foiling ISIS terrorists’ attack on peoples of Em Jame’a and Maksar al-Hsan towns in the eastern countryside of Homs.

“Army units in cooperation with people of the tows warded off the attack and mowed down many terrorists,” a military source said, adding that other army units killed many terrorists affiliated to al-Nusra Front as they were trying to attack al-Rastan dam.

In Palmyra countryside, army units destroyed 3 armored vehicles belonging to ISIS terrorists on the outskirts of Wadi Abyad dam and in Wadi al-Zakara.

Moving towards the south of the country, army units destroyed a bulldozer and hideouts belonging to l-Nusra Front terrorists in al-Hamedeyeh and Jabbata al-Khashab towns in the northern countryside of Quneitra and killed many terrorists in Bear al-Ajam town, about 18km southeast of Quneitra city.
