PROVINCES,(ST)_More than 49 terrorists were eliminated outside Homs and Hama during today’s military operations that synchronized with thwarting terrorist’ infiltration bid from Jordan into Syria, according to the official news agency (SANA).
The agency quoted a military source as saying that army units killed 24 ISIS terrorists in Jazal area north-west Palmyra city and carried out qualitative operation on the outskirts of al-Shaer area in the eastern countryside of Homs.
The qualitative operation resulted in the death of many terrorists affiliated to the ISIS [Known as Daesh in Arabic] and destruction of several vehicles belonging to them.
In the same province [Homs], army units conducted concentrated operations against terrorist organizations in Em al-Rish and Enq l-Hawa towns and on the road linking Habra al-Gharbeyeh and Rajm al-Qasr.
They also destroyed two terrorist hideouts and two armored cars in al-Za’afaraneh town north of Talbeseh city and clashed with terrorists holed up in al-Waer quarter, which lies west of Homs city.
Around 20km north of Homs city, army units carried out operations and killed many terrorists in an area located west of al-Rastan lake.
Meanwhile, it was reported that army units killed 25 terrorists and destroyed several vehicles, some of them equipped with heavy machinegun, belonging to them in Dkeleh and Bel’as areas outside Hama.
More vehicles belonging to terrorists were wiped out in al-Qalamoun mountain in Damascus countryside and at square of Nab’a al-Sakher town and north of al-Samdaneyeh town in Quneitra countryside.
However, in Daraa countryside, army units thwarted terrorists’ infiltration attempt from Jordanian territories into Syria.
The terrorists tried to infiltrate from an area located south-west al-Mata’ayeh town in Daraa countryside.
Tunnel destroyed in Aleppo
In northern Aleppo province, army units destroyed a 400-meter long tunnel through which terrorists tried to reach scientific researches building from Bab Jdid quarter that lies south-west Aleppo city.
