Syrian army kills 38 terrorists in Aleppo and Lattakia countryside

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed over 38 terrorists south-east of Aleppo city and in the northern countryside of Lattakia and has carried out concentrated operations against terrorist organizations in the southern region.

According to the official news agency (SANA), army units killed over 20 terrorists in al-Marjeh quarter and al-Sheikh Lutfi town south-east of Aleppo city and continued military operations against terrorist organizations on the outskirts of al-Nairab airbase and in towns of al-Radwaneyeg, Erbid, al-Jbol, Ein al-Jamajmeh, Tal Istabel, Tal al-Neam and Tal al-Htabat in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

The military operations resulted in the death of many terrorists, most of them were from al-Nusra Front [Jabhat al-Nusra], a military source said, adding that army units shelled by artilleries ISIS hideouts on the outskirts of the Air Forces Academy.

The source indicated that further terrorists affiliated to al-Nusra Front were eliminated in concentrated operations carried out by army units in Khan al-Asal and al-Mansoura towns in the western and southwestern countryside of Aleppo.

Syrian air strikes in Aleppo

Earlier today, SANA quoted a military source as saying that Syrian warplanes bombed ISIS hideouts in al-Hwejeneh town, about 30km east of Aleppo city, and inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists there.

There were also operations against al-Nusra Front terrorists and allied groups in quarters of al-Sha’aar, Karm al-Jabal, al-Sakhour, old city of Aleppo, al-Rashedin 4, Bani Zied, Hanano, Karm al-Trab and Qadi Askar quarters and in al-Na’anaee square in the city of Aleppo.

The operations in Aleppo province synchronized with targeting hideouts of al-Nusra front, the Ahrar al-Sahel brigade and the Ahrar al-Sham movement in al-Mrij and al-Maroneyat towns, about 37km north of Lattakia city.

Syrian army units in cooperation with popular defense groups targeted the terrorist hideouts in the said towns, killing more than 18 terrorists and wounding several others.

Southern region

Moving towards the south of the country, army units destroyed 3vehicles belonging to the al-Nusra Front terrorists east of Tranjeh town in Quneitra countryside and carried out concentrated operations against terrorist organizations in Semlin town and Inkhel and Jasem cities in the northwestern countryside of Daraa.

Many terrorists were killed and injured in the operations, a military source said.

Further terrorists affiliated to ISIS were eliminated during qualitative operations carried out by army units in towns of al-Qaser and Rajem al-Dawleh in the northeastern countryside of Sweida.

In the central region, army units destroyed an armored car and a cannon belonging to ISIS terrorists south-east of Wadi al-Zakara in Palmyra countryside a day after Syrian warplanes bombed ISIS hideouts on the outskirts of al-Shaer field, a military source declared.

The source added that army units killed many terrorists affiliated to al-Nusra Front in al-Rastan area , al-Ganto town and Talbeseh city, about 13km far away from Homs city.  

In another development, Syrian warplanes hit the ‘Jaish al-Fateh’ terrorists in Mhambal town in the western countryside of Idleb, as Russian warplanes conduced 12 air strikes against ISIS hideouts in Homs, Hama and Idleb within the framework of agreement reached between Syria and Russia to combat the international terrorism and to eliminate ISIS.
