Syrian army kills 37 terrorists in Damascus countryside, carries out qualitative operations in Aleppo

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has carried out qualitative operations against ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Aleppo and in Palmyra city and has struck terrorist organizations in Idlib, Hama, Daraa and Lattakia countryside.

According to a military source, the qualitative operations  targeted ISIS terrorists on the outskirts of Kweris airbase in the northern countryside of Aleppo where several hideouts and vehicles were destroyed and many terrorists were killed and injured.

The source added that army units carried out concentrated operations against al-Nusra Front terrorists in quarters of al-Rashedin, al-Layramon, al-Sakhour, Bani Zied, Bistan al-Bash, al-Sheikh Kheder and the old city of Aleppo.

Many terrorists, including the military leader of the so-called the ‘al-sham legion’ were killed in Aleppo, according to social media.

Meanwhile, Syrian army bombed terrorist hideouts in Der hafer and Kweris areas and  west of al-Jabereyeh area in the eastern countryside of Aleppo and in Hmimat, al-Hoteh, al-Kbari, Tal Salmo, al-Mjas, Talanb, al-Tir’a and Abo Duhur areas, about 50km south-east of Idlib city.

The official news agency (SANA) reported that many terrorist affiliated to the so-called the ‘Jaish al-Fateh’ [The army of the conquest] were killed and injured in the airstrikes, adding that there were airstrikes against al-Nusra Front supply routes in the southwestern countryside of Idlib.

The ‘Jaish al-Fateh’ is composed of hundreds of foreign mercenaries, who infiltrated through Turkish border with the support of Erdogan regime to join the al-Nusra Front, the ‘Jend al-Aqsa’, the ‘Ansar al-Deen Front’, the ‘Islamic Turkistan Party’, the al-Sham Legion’, the ‘Soqor al-Ghab’, the Chechen Jonod al-Sham’, the ‘Ahrar al-Sham Movement’, the ‘Ansar al-Sham’, the ‘Ajnad al-Sham’ and the ‘ Soqor al-Jabal brigade’.

In the northeastern countryside of Lattakia, Syrian warplanes bombed the al-Nusra Front hideouts in Salma, Ein al-Hor, Jabal al-Raab, Abo Risheh and Ketf al-Hariq towns where many terrorists were killed.

Last night, army units killed 17 terrorists, including 2 Turkish, and destroyed rocket launchers belonging to them in airstrikes in Kanasaba, al-Mrij towns and on the outskirts of Bradon dam.

Further terrorists affiliated to ISIS were killed as army units carried out concentrated operations in Palmyra city and on the outskirts of Jazal oil field, according to SANA.

The agency pointed out that army units also targeted terrorist organizations in and outside Daraa and  in Hama countryside as well as in Damascus countryside.

More than 37 terrorists were killed in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus and in Zabadani city northwest of Damascus.

Separately, SANA said that 117 wanted persons from Damascus and its suburbs turned themselves in to the competent authorities for regularizing their situations.

Basma Qaddour
