Syrian army kills 15 Chechen terrorists north of Lattakia, destroys al-Nusra Front vehicles in Quneitra

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has destroyed 7 vehicles belonging to terrorist organizations in Quneitra countryside and has killed many terrorists in Aleppo and in Lattakia countryside, military sources declared Tuesday.

The sources clarified that army units in cooperation with popular defense groups destroyed 2 armored cars belonging to al-Nusra Front terrorists in towns of al-Hamedeyeh, Abo Shabta and Jabbata al-Khashab in Quneitra countryside during operations carried out last night and today at dawn.

Many terrorists were also killed during the operations in the said towns, which are the main crossings for terrorists linked to the Israeli enemy.   

4 more vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns were destroyed on a road linking al-Herreyeh and al-Hamedeyeh towns in the northwestern countryside of the same province, field sources told the official news agency (SANA).

The sources added that an armored car for al-Nusra Front was destroyed when an army unit targeted terrorist grouping in al-Hamedeyeh town, about 7km north of Quneitra city.

Infiltration bids

Moreover, army units in cooperation with popular defense groups warded off terrorists’ infiltration bids into al-Hemreyeh site, Amal farms and Mashati Hader in Quneitra countryside.

In the northern Aleppo province,  army units destroyed several ISIS vehicles on the outskirts of the Air Forces Academy and targeted hideouts of the ‘al-Tawhid Brigade’, the ‘Ahrar al-Sham Movement’, the ‘Soqor al-Sham Brigades’, the ‘Jaish al-Islam’ terrorists in quarters of Bistan al-Basha, Karm al-Jabal, al-Kallaseh, al-Shiekh Saed, Qadi Askar, al-Mash’had, al-Rashidin 4,Bani Zied, Karm al-Qaterji and al-Shaar in thecity of Aleepo.

There were also operations against terrorist organizations in Khan al-Asal, al-Mansoura and Aziza towns in Aleppo countryside and in al-Rawda town in the northern countryside of Lattakia, according to SANA.

Over 20 terrorists, including 15 Chechen ones, were killed in al-Rawda town in the northern countryside of Lattakia, a military source said.

In another development, army units struck the -Jaish al-Fateh’ terrorists in the countrysides of Hama and Idleb and eliminated many ISIS terrorists on the outskirt of al-Shaer oil field and in Palmyra city in the eastern countryside of Homs.

Separately, SANA said that 33 wanted persons from Damascus and its suburb turned themselves in to the competent authorities for regularizing their situation within the national reconciliation process.

Basma Qaddour
