Syrian army intensifies strikes against terrorist organizations in 5 provinces

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has carried out intensified strikes against terrorist organizations in the countrysides of Homs, Hama, Idleb, Lattakia and Aleppo, as popular defense groups ambush terrorists in Sweida countryside.  

According to a military source, army units, backed by Syrian warplanes, killed today after noon many ISIS terrorists in al-Qaryateen city and on the outskirts of al-Shaer and Jazal fields as well as in Palmyra city in the eastern countryside of Homs.

The source added that army units intensified their operations against al-Nusra Front terrorists in al-Rastan city and on the outskirts of al-Ghanto and Jabborin towns, about 22km north of Homs city.

In the same province, there were air strikes against terrorist organizations in Jabal al-Ken and Tal Arsan, al-Fasedeh and al-Dwezen areas where many terrorist were killed and injured, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency pointed out that army units targeted terrorist organizations in towns of Kafer Hamra, Byanon and Hritan, which are located on the international road leading to Turkey, and in the southern countryside of Aleppo as well as in its eastern countryside and in some quarters in Aleppo city.

It confirmed that Syrian warplanes bombed the so-called the ‘Jaish al-Fateh’, ISIS and al-Nusra Front terrorists in several towns in the countrysides of Hama, Idleb and Lattakia.

4 terrorists killed in an ambush

In another development, popular defense groups ambushed terrorists in Koa Hadar area, which is located between Lahtheh and Rdemet al-Lewa’a towns at the eastern edge of al-Lajat plateau in the northern countryside of Sweida.

“As many as 4 terrorists were killed and several others wounded in the ambush,” a source in the province of Sweida said, adding that terrorists’ weapons were seized.
