Syrian army intensifies operations against terrorist organizations

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed a field commander in al-Nusra Front along with his three bodyguards outside Lattakia and has clashed with terrorist groups in al-Waer quarter in Homs city, military sources said Monday.

A military source said that army units struck terrorist organizations’ sites in Salma and Kansaba towns in the northern countryside of Lattakia where two weapons-laden vehicles and an armored car were destroyed.

A field commander in the al-Nusra Front, his name Bilal al-Soufi, plus three of his bodyguards were killed in the strikes, the source confirmed, adding that army units carried out operations in Jabal Zahyeh and Abo al-Resh farm in the same province.

The operations resulted in the death of many terrorists.

Clashes in Homs

Further terrorists were eliminated during clashes erupted between army units and terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front and the so-called the ‘al-Farouq battalions’ in al-Waer quarter in Homs city.

The clashes synchronized with continuity of operations against terrorist organizations in the eastern and northern countryside of Homs and outside Aleppo where scores of terrorist were killed.

Last night, army units killed and wounded over 20 terrorists and destroyed several bomb-making plants in Duma city in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

Qatari and Sudanese mercenaries were among the terrorists killed there.

Add to that, army units intensified strikes against terrorist organizations in the northern countryside of Daraa and targeted terrorists’ supply routes in Jerod Horan which is one of the al-Nusra Front main strongholds.

Large numbers of terrorists were killed in the strikes and several vehicles belonging to them were destroyed.  

Terrorists died in blast

On the other hand, many terrorist were killed yesterday in a blast occurred inside a bomb-making plant belonging to the al-Nusra Front in Ma’arrret al-No’aman area in Idlib countryside.
