Deir Ezzor – Units of the Syrian army, in cooperation with backup forces, carried out a wide-scale military operation to cleanse the desert of Deir Ezzor from the remnants of Daesh terrorists and hotbeds.

The army managed to regain control over large swaths of al-Badiya estimated at 1500 square km and cleansed the areas of al-Faydah, Faydat Bin Mowayne’ and al-Tammah, 80 Km southwestern of Deir Ezzor, from fleeing Daesh terrorists, inflicting heavy losses upon the takfiri organization in personnel and weapons.

SANA noted that the army units advanced 60 km into the depth of al-Badiya and cut off vital routes for terrorists which provide more protection to the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
