Syrian Army Heroism Commended

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Deputy Commander of the Army and Armed Forces and Minister of Defense  Gen. Fahd Jassem Fareej stressed that the epic heroism manifested in eliminating terrorism in al-Qusair city was the result of the sacrifices of  the army and the steadfastness of the Syrian people  ,” that landmarked   the foundation  for restoring security and stability to every inch of our homeland. “

During a tour he made  yesterday on  one army  combat unity Maj. Fareej  noted the high morale of the army which resulted in successive victories they achieved in rooting out  organized terrorism, backed by Western countries and colonial Zionism.

He indicated the conspiratorial role played by  some Arab regimes, especially the Gulf through funding every bullet fired at our people and army, explaining that “if these funds are invested  for the benefit of the Arab peoples it would  have made them in the ranks of developed countries, but they chose to give these funds  to the enemies to fight us.”

He  expressed the leadership  pride and Syrian people  confidence  entrusted  in the successes achieved by our brave  army , thanking  the army  fighters for their efforts in addressing armed terrorist groups .
