Syrian army has regained control over dozens of towns in Idleb over the past few days

IDLEB,(ST)_The Syrian army units have made fresh gains in the southeastern countryside of Idleb after heavy clashes with terrorist groups.

According to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), the army units pursued the terrorists, who ran away from Maa’rret al-No’aman city, on the axis of Saraqib.The Syrian Army was also engaged in heavy clashes with terrorist groups inside the towns of Ma’erdabseh and Khan al-Sobol .

The clashes were preceded by artillery strikes against terrorist groups and the destruction of their fortifications in the said towns by the army units.

The two towns, located on the two sides of Aleppo-Idleb international road, were recaptured by the army units, who continued to pursue the terrorist remnants on the lines of engagement amid collapses in the ranks of terrorists because of the army’s successive victories.

The army units also found tunnels and trenches during combing operations in liberated areas.

They uncovered tunnels, an arms cache and workshop for making missiles in the south of Ma’arret al-Noaman city in Idleb countryside.

Add to that, the Syrian army regains control over 2 areas to the west of Abo Dohor area in the southeastern countryside of Idleb .

The 2 areas are Tal al-Sawater and Hartameyeh town.

Over the past few days, the army units liberated the strategic Ma’arret al-No’aman city plus 28 towns and villages in the southern countryside of Idleb during military operations that aim to put an end to terrorist groups’ crimes against safe residential areas and army’s positions .

In Aleppo, the army units recaptured a bulgur [cracked wheat] factory on the outskirts of Khan Touman area in the countryside of the province. They also targeted terrorist groups’ hideouts on the outskirts of Atareb town in the western countryside of Aleppo.
