Syrian army evacuates its positions in Abo Duhur air base, kills 10 terrorists from ‘Jaish al-Islam’ outside Damascus

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has evacuated its positions in Abo Duhur air base in Idleb and has killed over 10 terrorists from the so-called the ‘’Jaish al-Islam’ [Islam Army] in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

According to the official news agency (SANA), the evacuation of the airbase was carried out after fierce fighting with terrorist organizations that took advantage of the sandstorm to infiltrate into it.

Over the past two years, army units thwarted a lot of infiltration bids carried out by terrorist organizations into Abo Duhur air base.

In another development, sources denied media reports claiming that the ‘Jaish al-Islam’ terrorists had advanced into the outskirts of the Damascus Central Prison and recaptured parts of it.

“These reports are groundless and aim to cover the losses that were inflicted upon terrorist organizations yesterday,” the sources said.

Last night, army units clashed with terrorists from the ‘Jaish al-Islam’, who tried to infiltrate into the outskirts of some military posts in Tal Kerdi and al-Rihan farms, north-east of Duma city in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

The clashes ended with the death of 10 terrorists.
