Syrian army engaged in fierce fighting against terrorist organizations in Idlib and Hama

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has ambushed an armed terrorist group at the southern entry of Jisr Esh Shugur city in Idlib countryside and has destroyed convoys of vehicles belonging to terrorists outside Idlib and Hama.

According to a military source, an army unit eliminated a terrorist group in an ambush on the outskirts of the national hospital at the southern entry of Jisr Esh Shugur city in Idlib countryside.

The ambush synchronized with destroying 9 vehicles belonging to terrorists on Janodeyeh- Jisr Esh Shugur axis in Idlib countryside and on Qlidin-Enkawi axis in the northwestern countryside of Hama during airstrikes carried out by Syrian warplanes.

Three more vehicles equipped with machineguns belonging to terrorists were wiped out in Majdalya outside Idlib, a military source said, adding that an army unit destroyed an armored car and killed 15 terrorist during a failed infiltration bid on the outskirts of al-Qarmid camp in the same province [Idlib].

Last night, Syria warplanes hit several points on the outskirts of Jisr Esh Shugur city and the northwestern countryside of Hama into which terrorist organizations infiltrated, according to the official news agency (SANA).

Army cordons off towns in Hama

The agency added that terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ movement were killed in a qualitative operation during which army units cordoned off al-Mansoura and al-Qahera in the northwestern countryside of Hama.

Terrorist organization confirmed through social media the death of the military leader in the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ movement, dubbed Abo Omaral-Salafi.

Scores of terrorists were killed in Ramleh, Morabba’a al-Kabir and Morabba’a al-sallom towns as well as on Khanaser-Abo Duhur road in Aleppo countryside.

Moving towards the southern front, army units killed many of al-Nusra Front terrorists in the northeastern countryside of Daraa and Quneitra and repelled terrorists’ infiltration bid into a military post on the outskirts of Khan al-Shieh area in Damascus countryside.

More terrorists were mowed down in the western edge of Ein al-Bistan town in the southwestern countryside of Damascus and in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and in the northern mountains of al-Qalamoun as well as in Hasya’a area in the southwestern countryside of Homs and in the eastern countryside of it.

Munitions, bombs confiscated in Hassaka

In another development, the competent authorities in Hassaka city confiscated 3 rifles plus a Turkish- made rifle and a bomb belt, bombs and munitions in Ghwiran quarter, which lies south of the city.
