Syrian army deliver fresh knockout blows to foreign-backed terrorists

PROVINCES,(ST)_Units of armed forces continue hunting down foreign-backed terrorists and bombarding  their hideouts in several districts in countryside of Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Hama, and Lattakia provinces.

Outside the capital, the armed forces shelled today (Friday) several terrorist groupings in Jobar and Barzeh al-Balad , killing and injuring unknown number of terrorists.

An official source told SANA that a unit of armed forces clashed with terrorists in Jobar alley while another unit carried out a qualitative operation against 4 terrorist groupings resulted in destroying them.

In the north of the country, the armed forces targeted terrorist groupings in surrounding of Meng area in Aleppo province, inflicting heavy losses upon them.

In this context, a military expert told the Damascus-based al-Watan newspaper that the gunmen intensified their attack on the military Meng airport , of the area 2.5 ha, in order to make a strategic gain in response to the orders of regional forces which back them.

The main goal, the expert added, is to cover the gunmen’s defeats in al-Qsir countryside (in Homs, the Eastern Ghouta  in Damascus countryside), and Aleppo’s south and east .

“The gunmen try to enhance their stance before the forthcoming meeting between the US and Russian Presidents due to be held in June,” the expert said, noting that thousands of gunmen, including Arab and foreign terrorists from al-Nusra Front organization are taking part in the fighting broke out few days ago.

In the country’s central province, units of armed forces shelled terrorists’ hideouts in al-Qsir city, al-Khaledeya alley, Talbisa , al-Dar al-Kabira, al Dab’a, and the Eastern al-Bweda towns.

Unknown numbers of terrorists were eliminated.

On the other hand, stability and security have been restored to towns of al-Tliseh and al-Zeghbeh north Hama countryside after cleansing them from terrorists.

It was also reported that the armed forces killed at least 8 terrorists (3 of them are Yemenis and one is Tunisian) in Lattakia countryside,  and destroyed ammunitions depot.

Syria is in a state of war and its army is doing its duty as regards defending citizens and the homeland and fighting the foreign-backed terrorist groups to restore stability and security across the country.

The terrorist groups, who perpetrate heinous crimes against citizens and destroy the country’s infrastructure, are supported by the US, Britain, France, Turkey, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
