Syrian Army Defending Syria’s History, Civilization: Egyptian Military Expert

CAIRO, (ST)- Egyptian strategic expert, Major General Hamdi Amer, has stressed that the Syrian Arab Army is defending Syria’s history and civilization.

In a statement to SANA correspondent in Cairo, Maj. Gen. Amer said “everyone should glorify the Syrian people’s sacrifices to preserve their countries’ independence, history and civilization and should respect the Syrians’ adherence to their leadership which has refused to cede an inch of the Syrian land.”

 Amer added “Syria is a country with old and deeply rooted civilization that dates back to thousands of years. This civilization won’t let the Syrians to accept defeat whatever conspiracies hatched against them. Syria is one of the most Arab countries that experienced wars throughout history. Its people have a history of struggle that helps them tolerate sacrifices and difficulties in defense of their homeland,” according to Amer.
