Syrian Army Continues Mop-up Operations

PROVINCES, (ST)_ The Syrian Arab Army   is pushing ahead with mop-up operations against terrorist groupings  across the country wiping out and wounding countless number of gangsters.

In Aleppo/countryside, the armed forces killed and wounded a number of terrorists  and foiled the terrorists’ attempts to sneak  into safe areas.

Another unit of the armed forces made a daring raid on terrorists who had been committing acts of looting and blocking roads were killed on the roads of al-Raqqa and al-Bab-Aleppo and in Ein Daqna, Tall Raf’at, Deir Hafer and Mar’anaz.

The operation also resulted in  destroying their weapons and equipment .

Units of the armed forces eliminated terrorists’ gatherings in the following areas:

Hilan, al-Jbeili farms, Talet al-Madafeh and al-Khoulandi gas station ,al-Alqamiyeh and Minnegh .

In Damascus Countryside, the armed forces clashed with terrorist groups in several areas in Harasta ,Misraba,Irbin ,Adra al-Balad ,al-Ghezlaniyeh, al-Sayyeda Zainab, al-Ziyabiyeh and Hijjeira ,Deir Salman and al-Ziyabiyeh .

Thwarting Infiltration attempt from Lebanon

An army unit foiled a terrorist group’s infiltration attempt from Arsal in Lebanon into the Syrian territories through Khirbet Hamam site in the southern countryside of al-Qseir in Homs,a local media reported.

In Homs,a number of terrorist groupings were mowed down in Qarabis, al-Warsheh, Bab Hood, al-Abraj, Jouret al-Shayah, al-Waer, Wadi al-Sayeh and al-Hamidiyeh in the city of Homs.

The armed forces also annihilated  a number of terrorists’ groupings  in Talbiseh, al-Rastan, al-Ghanto and al-Dar al-Kabira.

In a separate incident, engineering units foiled an attempt by an armed terrorist group to detonate 13 roadside bombs in Hannoura area in the city of Palmyra.

In Daraa,an armed unit clashed with terrorist groups in Daraa, resulting in the killing or a number of terrorists including Mohammad Khalil al-Hussein al-Mahamid, the leader of a terrorist group called “Liwa’a Tawhid al-Janoub.”

In Deir Ezzor,a unit of the armed forces  clashed with a terrorist group affiliated with Jabhat al-Nusra in the salt mine area in Deir Ezzor, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists.
